THESE 2 Things Are Holding You Back from 6-Figures
Early on in my business, I wanted to get out of corporate and into full-time entrepreneurship. As a result, I conformed my business and services to whatever the client wanted. As cringey as it sounds, I was desperate to pay the bills.
Looking back, so much of my approach was all about me. It was about me making the career change I wanted. Me being able to cover my needs. Me, me, me.
A shift happened when I started to focus on serving others, rather than on myself. I began to stand firm on the value of what I offer, trying to be everything to everybody. I’ve had a lifetime of experiences and relationships that make me who I am. I have identity value, and I attract those who need my services instead of transforming my services to meet every need.
As a result, I could finally crack through the 6-figure mark and no longer had to chase clients.

If you haven’t hit the 6-figure mark in your business yet, then today I’m going to share two ways that you may be holding yourself back. By acknowledging and addressing these two areas, you will set yourself up to serve your clients and make a great living along the way.
Your identity value is what makes you attractive to someone else. Have you considered that the number one product and package that you offer is a relationship with you? It’s the value of your personal brand, and it attracts people to your coaching.
People are enrolling in a relationship with you. If you continue to move away from your own identity and try to be what you think other people want to buy, it becomes harder to grow your business.
Be authentic. We all have a persona we project to the world, whether on social media or how we conduct ourselves in public. Then we have pieces that stay hidden behind the persona. Instead, I challenge you to remove the masks and match your persona to who you are.
Clear messaging is another crucial ingredient in 6-figure client attraction.
If you’re anything like me, then you’ve spent hours trying to wordsmith the perfect pitch. You want to convey confidence, emotion, and strength, so you pour over word choices trying to develop the ideal tone.
If you feel stuck with your messaging, it’s often because you’re overthinking. Use this prompt to help you:
“What I really want to say is…”
… And then take a deep breath and speak from your heart. Let it flow naturally and say the first words that come to mind. I fall back on this prompt for webinars, public speaking, and one on one conversations. I even journal using this prompt or use voice to text to transcribe what you say into the first draft of your copy!
If you still haven’t broken through 6-figures, building your confidence and clarifying your message should be a top priority. Hope this helps!
Do not create an identity for yourself based on what you think other people want/need.
Time after time, people will start transforming their business that they want for the business they think people want. This starts a cycle of inauthentic connection, and you’ll end up caught in a cycle of chasing clients.
You need to be deeply connected to yourself and your business so that your message is clear. Clear messaging will attract the right people and allow you to step out of the role of salesperson and into the role of messenger.
