It’s an all too common story I hear from entrepreneurs… they have gone for a huge goal and probably even hit the goal then they have to retreat and chill out because they burned out in the process.
It doesn’t have to be that way!
In fact, the first year I crossed 7-figures, I was the most centered, peaceful and calm as I had ever been in my business. I remember being way more stressed a few years prior when I went for 6-figures!
Here are my top 5 tips for avoiding burn out in your business:
Leverage your time.
Instead of focusing on 1:1 coaching all the time, I moved to group programs and experiences. I’ve done it through creating my Powerhouse Mastermind program, group retreats, and even my annual 3-day live event, Dream Big.
Manage your mindset.
If you’re ever feeling stressed out or overwhelmed or anxious, just look for someone that is doing more than you that seems to do it in a way that is calm, collected, and grounded. Ask that person, how are you doing it?
Remember: if things are not working, don’t make it mean anything about you. Stay neutral. Ask yourself what is working and what is not working about your approach and adjust accordingly.
Surround yourself with the people you want to influence your mind and life.
Make sure you’re allowing the right people to influence your mind. Find a great community, mentor, or other like-minded friends and connections to spend your time with.
Take the most powerful steps that you can today.
If you have a list of things that you need to do, ask yourself: what are the most powerful steps you can take today to move you forward. It’s not realistic to get a huge list done yourself. Also, learn how to delegate tasks too!
Create visuals around you.
I’m a big fan of using big post-it notes to track things. For example, if my goal is to fill a room for an event, I would make a poster with hearts for each person I want to enroll. As people step in, I write their names in the hearts to visually see how I’m moving forward. If you’re going for something else, like buying a home, make sure you have a picture of it near you!
And the final bonus tip… make it fun! Inject as much fun into your day as you can. Trust me, it really helps!
