The KEY to a Sustainable Business
Whether you’re brand new here or if you’ve been following me for a while, you know that THE most important part of my business is relationship building.
After being in business for over 10 years, I’ve come to recognize there is an old way of doing business that doesn’t serve you or your clients. I call it the MORE way when all the emphasis is on MORE – more followers, more clients, more sales.
If you’ve been in business for several years like I have, you’ve probably been putting yourself out there, working with clients, but you might feel like something is missing at the end of the day. You want to amplify your voice, business, something inside of you that is ready to be shared.
Many of my clients tell me that because they have this BIG dream that they want to go after, it makes them feel alone…maybe even a little crazy, because many of the people in their lives don’t understand it.
And a lot of people who are teaching others to grow their businesses are missing a critical piece:
Building a strong relationship with your audience and clients is the only way to build sustainability in your business model.
People can feel authenticity. The people you attract can tell right away whether or not you are being authentic, even if you don’t always get the words right; if you focus on them and what they want to achieve, it will create much more connection right from the start.
Many coaches or sales trainers are teaching old sales tactics that teach you to do a lot of convincing and persuasion. But, have you ever talked to someone whom you knew was trying to convince you to do something? You can tell right away, and it feels salesy and gross.
And that’s why I decided to bring this new way into business because that’s really why we are in business, right? To build relationships.
To draw in the people you want to serve, it’s essential to have a clear message right from the start. I talk about this HERE in my blog post about aligning your messaging to attract your ideal client.
What is important is that you have an intention for how you build your business.
And by this, I don’t mean just to think about it in your head. Instead, I want you to have clarity with this intention.
Bring that intention into focus. Visualize yourself working with the client you would love to serve. Is she a mom? Does she align with your spiritual beliefs? Is he struggling with the same thing you did not long ago?
Then I’d like you to write down your intention for how you want to show up for them. This is a significant step because it will help you to focus on your client. What they need and what is best for them in their unique situation.
This will help you show up without worrying about high-pressure sales tactics and feel like you aren’t leading with authenticity. This is how you create a true and lasting connection with each person you speak with.
Ultimately, that is precisely what we are trying to achieve. Better relationships and fulfillment in what you are creating in the world!
