The Secrets to Creating a Magical Morning
My friend and mastermind colleague Krystal Jackson is a master at maintaining a powerhouse mindset.
When I asked her what her secret was, she told me it was her miracle morning! She has since supported me in creating my own miracle morning – and it has been a game changer!
Here are the 4 steps to making your own miracle morning:
1: Define your #1 responsibility of the day.
In my case, I start my day at 10am Pacific. I don’t take any meeting or have any meetings prior to that, so I consider 10am my start time for the work day.
2: Schedule when your workout is happening.
I start my day with quiet time, then I walk my dog Bella. After that it’s time for a workout! One workout I love (that Krystal gave me) is completing 100 squats, 100 pushups and 100 reverse crunches in any order I want. It’s a burner but also super efficient!
3: Complete your #1 priority of the day.
Start your day with a win by completing your #1 priority before you ever have your first meeting. This one small shift will pump up your confidence all day!
4: Give yourself space to have time for yourself.
I have quiet time first thing in the morning. It’s so important for me to have a soft and gentle start to the day. This time is great for journaling, writing my daily gratitude, or reading an inspirational book.
Here are my other favorite tips from Krystal:
- Set out your clothes the night before. This includes both your your workout clothes and whatever other clothes you need for the rest of your day!
- Get your water ready for your workout and place it in your fridge. Krystal also keeps a 32 oz jar of water by her at all times! Shoot for drinking half of your body weight in ounces a day (or more).
- Drink water right when you wake up to combat any dehydration from your night of sleep.
